OUTDOOR WATERFALL FOUNTAIN
Thirteen Streams, and That Number Is the Reason
Nine tiers, and the jagged shale structure splits one water source into thirteen separate falling columns of different widths, each taking its own route down the rock face. From across a garden that reads as a dense wall of moving water. Up close you can pick out the individual streams, each catching light differently. No other design here produces this much visible water movement from a piece under four feet.
The sound is the real consequence. Thirteen fall points landing at once produce a composite that a single stream or a three stream design cannot imitate, no matter how loud you run them. It is closer to standing near an actual waterfall than to standing near a fountain, and it is the reason to buy this one. If your goal is masking traffic, a neighbor's equipment, or noise from an adjoining space, this is the piece in the range built for it.
At 60 pounds it has the mass to stay put outdoors, and the pump and the lights run on separate plugs so either can operate without the other. It is also rated for indoor use, which at this scale means a lobby, a sunroom, or an open plan room where a real water feature is the intent.
What Makes This Fountain Different
- Thirteen simultaneous fall points, which changes the kind of sound you get. One stream gives you a clear repeating note. Three gives you a rhythm. Thirteen landing at slightly different moments and heights stop being individual sounds at all and become a continuous broad band, which is the same reason a real waterfall reads as a wash rather than as drops. That broadband quality is what actually covers other noise, and it is why a fountain with fewer streams cannot match this one by simply running faster.
- The pump and the lights are on separate plugs. Run the lights with the water off for a lit rock face and a silent garden, or the water with the lights off in daylight. It also means you can isolate one system for servicing without shutting down the other. Very few fountains at any price offer this.
- Eight lights placed across the levels, not at the base. On a structure with thirteen streams, a single light at the bottom leaves most of the water dark. Distributing eight across the basins is what makes the full network visible after sunset rather than just the lower third.
- Sixty pounds and rated for indoors. The weight gives it genuine wind stability outdoors. The indoor rating means a lobby, a sunroom, or an open plan space is a real option, which is unusual for a piece producing this much water movement.
The fullest in this range, and deliberately so. Thirteen streams falling at once give a layered composite rather than a set of separate drops, which is the closest thing here to standing beside real falling water. It will do genuine work covering traffic and equipment noise. That also means it is not the fountain to put beside a quiet reading chair, because you will hear it whether or not you want to. How loud it seems will still shift with the water level, the enclosing surfaces, and how open the space is, which is why a fixed decibel number would tell you nothing useful about your own site.

Setup, Care, and Warranty
Setup and placement
Fill the reservoir, plug it in, and it runs. No plumbing and nothing to bury. At 60 pounds this is a two person lift, so settle the final position before it comes out of the box.
Plan for two outlets or an outdoor rated power strip, since the pump and the lights have separate plugs. Level it properly before filling, because thirteen streams out of plumb means several of them miss their landing at once.
Water level and daily care
Keep enough water in the reservoir to cover the pump at all times. Thirteen streams expose far more water to the air than a single fall does, so evaporation is faster than the reservoir size suggests and wind drift adds to it. Check every few days in summer rather than weekly.
Clear debris from the channels. A blocked channel does not just stop one stream, it redirects that water into the others and the balance of the whole face shifts.
Indoor use
It is rated for both, but indoors two things matter. The sound that makes it excellent in a courtyard is a lot inside a normal room, so it suits a lobby, a sunroom, or an open plan space rather than a living room. And thirteen streams throw more fine spray than a single fall, so keep it clear of furniture and soft furnishings.
Winter storage
Before hard freezes, drain the reservoir and every basin completely, disconnect and store the pump indoors, and let the piece dry out. Water left in a channel through a freeze and thaw is what causes damage. At 60 pounds plan on two people, or cover it in place once drained and dry.

Questions Before You Choose
What does thirteen water streams actually mean?
The rock structure has internal channels that divide one pumped source into thirteen separate falling columns of varying width, each taking a different route down the face. They are visible as distinct streams up close and merge into a moving wall from a distance.
How does it compare to the stepped shale fountain at the same price?
Both are 47.2 inches and cost the same, and they are built for opposite priorities. This one maximizes stream count and sound, so the water is the event. The stepped shale piece has a wider base, warm lighting rather than white, and a sculptural outline, so the form is the event. Choose this if you want water presence and noise masking, and that one if you want a grounded architectural shape.
Is it too loud for a small patio?
Possibly, and it is worth being honest about. This is the loudest design here by design. On a small enclosed patio the sound reflects off surrounding walls and can dominate rather than soften. It belongs on a large patio, in a courtyard, or anywhere you are actively trying to cover other noise. For a quiet corner, choose a single stream or bubbler design.
Is it safe around children and pets?
Sixty pounds makes it stable, which helps. It still should not be climbed on. Set it on a level solid surface, run both cords along a bed edge or wall so neither catches a foot, and use protected outdoor outlets. The recirculating water is not intended for drinking.
